Welcome,
So this is what they call the
"About" Page. So seeing as you are hear and are reading so
far,
we might as well fill you in a bit about what Act
Right™ is (as if the name wasn't enough?).
Act Right started as a statement that we always make when
ever we see something we don't like.
Lets say if we see someone smoking and they just toss their
cigarette butt on the floor and walk
away, Lets say we go to the beach and we see broken glass
and trash left over by the last
group that was having a blast there ( you know you hate
that), lets say you go to the
movies and we see a person rudely
being loud with out any consideration to the other movie
goers.
This applies to everything. What we do, what we see, how
we feel, how we react to things.
These are the foundations of ACT RIGHT™.
The history of ACT RIGHT™ is a bit like this:
I like shirts, I say ACT RIGHT or GET ONE, My friend Steve
said "why not put it on a shirt", I did and here we are,.
It's grown far past the original plans and I'm loving every
second of the change and movement. One day I will fill this
part out. I'm still working on the history part...
Now that we got passed that,
lets get into what we actually have for you on this site.
Lets start with the
ARG Guys Shirts. Well,
these shirts are made with 100% cotton and yes, they are
preshrunk, as if we would offer something that would shrink
after a couple washes. As for the designs, well they are all
hand drawn by me or my friend Rath.
we try to use as little computer touchup as possible so the
art looks pretty much exactly as what we put on paper with
sharpies and pens (besides I'm no good at it). Oh Ya! these
shirts are only print in a limit number because, well,
because we want them that way and no this doesn't mean we
charge an arm and a leg for them. (that wouldn't be Acting
Right, now would it?)
Now moving on to the
HEMP and
ORGANIC COTTON. As the name says, Everything in
this section is made either from Organic HEMP or 100%
Certified Organic Cotton And you better believe that as soon
as I find a supplier that I can trust for fabric, I will
produce everything on this site out of either HEMP or
Organic Cotton Or Bamboo. You may ask your self, WHY? well
it is simply because those fabrics and their production
process have a very small Carbon Footprint and that is
something I am very, very interested in. So go ahead, take a
look around on there and see what you might like.
Than it's time for the
ARG
Accessories. This is one of my personal favorite
sections just because I love accessories. Hell, who doesn't.
There is bags, shopping bags, sandals, belts, Etc. and
guess what? Their pretty much all made from recycled things
or/and HEMP. Yup, Again, A very small carbon footprint. (now
that's Acting Right)
Than there is the
ARG Girls,
This section is the same concept as the Guys Section, but,
you guessed it, On Girls Shirts and Tops and what not.
Last one I'll tell you about
is the ARG Act
Right™, you can call these statements. These have
either been submitted to the site by someone that really
feels strong about it or it is something that has made us
tell someone ACT RIGHT™
Well, now you are all on
point with what it is that we do.
Oh Ya! I forgot to mention
what it is that we really do. We clean beaches, pick up
trash, help old ladies across the street, Speak publicly
about Acting Right, Work with and Sponsor local bands, local
gyms, local MMA teams. We hold events to showcase local
artists and local talent. We also work with
Heal The Bay. We have a program called
Adopt-A-Beach where we go to the beach the first Saturday of
every month and clean the beach for about 2-3 hours and
recycle what we can and get rid of the rest. Yes, ACT RIGHT™
is NOT a fashion statement, IT IS A STATEMENT
